Climate Call

The Climate Call is the largest public call directed at funds in the history of BNDES. With a budget of up to BRL 5 billion, the program brings together the forces of the public and private sectors to drive innovative projects that promote decarbonization, reforestation, green agriculture, nature-based solutions, and effective responses to climate emergencies. Of this total, BRL 1 billion will be allocated to support restoration, agroforestry, sustainable forest management, regenerative silviculture, and the preservation and recovery of ecosystems and biodiversity.

Benefits of the initiative

Greater attractiveness for investors

Liquidity, the professional structuring of funds, and the participation of BNDES create a secure environment for investors in sectors considered as having high risk.

Valuation of environmental assets as market opportunities

By transforming forests, biodiversity, and sustainable practices into financial assets, the Climate Call repositions the sector as a new frontier for investment.

Innovative financial instrument

The strategy breaks with traditional formats by uniting climate mitigation, bioeconomy, and green infrastructure with long-term market instruments.
